The festival of all music festivals, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival ranks #1 on our list of events that every music fan absolutely has to attend to reach professional status. Until you have hit this one, you are simply still an amateur.
The roots of this most splendid of festivals can be traced back to the 1960's, with annual gatherings occuring every year since 1970. According to the Jazz Fest website, "The Festival celebrates the indigenous music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana, so the music encompasses every style associated with the city and the state: blues, R&B, gospel music, Cajun music, zydeco, Afro-Caribbean, folk music, Latin, rock, rap music, country music, bluegrass and everything in between. And of course there is lots of jazz, both contemporary and traditional."
Spanning nearly two weeks and running over two weekends, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival brings music fans and musicians from all over the world. Internationally renowned as one of the top music events in the world, fine sounds, sights and cuisine can all be enjoyed in an atmosphere of freedom and celebration. No other place on earth is like the Crescent City, where the laissez-faire attitude and Caribbean feel create a setting for good times that just can't be beat.
Having a handful of Jazzfests under our belt and more friends in the Big Easy than you could shake a Martini at, MrBusDriver will be bringing hardcore music lovers from all around the country back to this event every year. We are excited to be part of the re-birth of this international treasure and have partnered up with local transportation specialists and hoteliers to make this event a win-win situation for all involved.
Our travel and lodging packages will be announced shortly, but if you have any questions, please feel free to call (877) 852-9157 or email info@mrbusdriver.com anytime!
